Day-by-day breakdown

Day 1

Riohacha Welcome

Arrive, visit the craft market for mochilas, and transfer to a beachfront ranchería where you learn basic Wayuunaiki phrases.

Day 2

Cabo de la Vela

Travel by 4x4 to Pilón de Azúcar and Ojo de Agua beach, savor fresh seafood, and watch sunset from the lighthouse before storytelling around a bonfire.

Day 3

Punta Gallinas & Taroa Dunes

Continue north to the continent’s tip, sandboard down the giant dunes of Taroa, and sleep in hammocks overlooking Bahía Hondita.

Day 4

Bahía Hondita & Wayuu Culture

Kayak through mangroves with flamingos, visit weaving cooperatives, and join a traditional Yonna dance in the evening.

Day 5

Return to Riohacha

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, drive back along the desert coastline, and transfer to the airport or your next destination.
