Our signature expedition blends the best of Leticia, Puerto Nariño, and the Tarapoto Lakes with the warm hospitality of Matapi and Yucuna families.
You’ll travel with bilingual Indigenous guides who share stories, ancestral knowledge, and hands-on experiences that support local conservation.
Day 1
After your airport welcome we drive along the road via Tarapacá toward a natural reserve that shelters a towering tree house. We’ll have lunch, walk through the forest, and rest before a night hike to discover insects and bioluminescent species. At dawn a short walk leads to the platforms where you’ll climb 40 meters, move between trees on zip lines, and return for breakfast above the canopy.
Day 2
Travel by taxi and boat to the Marasha Nature Reserve in Peru. From the river we hike about 1 hour 45 minutes, immersing ourselves in the jungle and learning about timber and medicinal trees while spotting birds. After lunch you can try piranha fishing, birdwatching, canoeing, or kayaking, and at night head out by canoe to look for caimans beneath the stars.
Day 3
After breakfast take a shared boat to Puerto Nariño for lunch and a leisurely walk through Colombia’s first plastic-free town. Later we visit Tarapoto Lake to look for pink and grey dolphins, exotic birds, and enjoy swimming or piranha fishing before returning for dinner with Doña Luz or local street food.
Day 4
Enjoy an early breakfast before boarding the two-hour boat back to Leticia. We’ll escort you to your hotel or directly to the airport as needed.
