This retreat is facilitated by Matapi healers who have worked with Colombia Remote Adventures for over a decade.
We prioritize safety, small groups, translations in EN/ES/PT, and respectful preparation for every participant.
Day 1
After your airport pickup we travel toward Tarapacá, hike two hours to the Maloca community, and learn about timber trees, medicinal plants, and sacred preparations such as mambe and rapé. Following a garden visit and regional lunch you’ll cook alongside local families and head out on a night walk to spot bioluminescent mushrooms. Sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets.
Day 2
Breakfast at the maloca, then a transfer to a natural reserve where a tree house awaits. Hike through the forest, relax in the canopy, and after dinner join an optional night walk. At dawn we climb 40 meters to a platform, traverse zip lines between trees, and savor breakfast overlooking the jungle.
Day 3
Continue by taxi and boat to Peru’s Marasha Reserve, hiking 1 hour 45 minutes through rainforest alive with medicinal trees and birds. After lunch choose activities such as piranha fishing, birdwatching, canoeing, or kayaking. In the evening set out by canoe to search for caimans beneath a starry sky.
Day 4
Enjoy an early breakfast before the two-hour boat ride back to Leticia. We’ll drop you at your hotel or directly at the airport according to your onward travel plans.
