Puerto Nariño Adventure
About the Tour
During the “Puerto Nariño Adventure” you will head up the Amazon River, stay in Puerto Nariño, visit the Wochine reserve and the Tarapoto Lake. You might spot pink and grey dolphins, visit the community of Mocagua and the Monkey Rehabilitation Centre Maikuchiga and spend a night at the Calanoa Lodge.
Note: we recommend you arrive early for this tour.

3 Nights - 4 Days
Day 1 Puerto Nariño
We welcome you at the airport and head to the port to take a boat to Puerto Nariño. We will enjoy a typical lunch and enjoy amazing views from the viewpoint. We will have time to walk around the village before having dinner.
Accommodation: Either in rooms with double beds (couples) or a room with multiple beds (groups).
Day 2 Wochine & Tarapoto Lake
We will have breakfast at the hotel and then take a morning walk to the Wochine reserve. We will have time to explore the fauna and flora before heading back to the village for lunch. Afterwards, there is the option to visit the Natatuma Foundation where animal statues are presented and take a private boat to the Tarapoto Lake to spot pink and grey dolphins, swim or go Piranha fishing. We will end the day with dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 Marasha
After breakfast we take the boat to the village Mocagua. Mocagua is a Tikuna community that is dedicated to the conservation of the ecosystem. We continue our journey to the monkey rehabilitation centre Maikuchiga, where illegally captured as well as injured/sick monkeys are rehabilitated to return to the jungle as free beings before having lunch at the Calanoa Lodge. In the afternoon we will go on an ecological walk through the Nature Reserve and on a boat ride along the Mata Mata River. We will learn about the flora and fauna of the area and will try to spot many different animals. Dinner is followed by a night walk to experience the jungle in a very different way and spot nocturnal animals.

Day 4 Leticia
We will have breakfast early in the morning and take the boat to Leticia, which will take us around 2 hours. We will then drop you off in town or take you to the airport as requested.

Useful informations
High water levels can be expected in February, March, Abril and the highest levels can be expected all through May and beginning of June. The water levels drop from mid-June.
Transportation by land and water, meals (3x breakfast, 3x lunch, 3x dinner), accommodation for 3 nights, non-alcoholic refreshments and entrance fees as well as professional, multilingual, local Amazonian guides and a contribution to our educational and our environmental project
Your flight tickets, the entrance tax to Leticia as well as any alcoholic drinks are NOT included.
